Events for JREDS are an essential awareness tool, which empower the community to take responsibility for our fragile marine ecosystem. Throughout the year, JREDS sponsors events geared to change community behavior towards the environment.

The Clean Up the World campaign is a major event for JREDS. We undertake clean-up events, in which volunteers work together to clean up areas around the local community; public beaches, schools, public parks and shallow coastal reefs. The idea behind the campaign is to show people how a simple effort can have a positive impact on the look and health of an area, ecosystem, and tourist activities.

We are also part of many other local, regional and international events and activities which build on the concept of "a better healthy place for living" and "conserving our underwater heritage" for the present and future generations.
