As a key player in the field of environment conservation, JREDS plays a major role in building the capacities of other NGOs and CBOs in the region. Developing the institutional framework of NGOs working in the field of sustainable development is a priority for JREDS. Recently, an Institutional Development Department was established to carry out this mandate.

Environmental NGOs Capacity Building
Capacity-building workshops and on-the-job training was conducted for the NGOs in Aqaba. The goal is to train them how to run and sustain an NGO.

Glass Boat Association
JREDS is involved in building the capacity of the glass boat association in different fields: management, finance, human resource management and other related fields. JREDS has supported the association in establishing its own bylaws. JREDS is also involved in raising the professionalism level of the association.
